- Candidates must have passed I.Sc. (Biology or Mathematics) or 10+2 with Biology or Mathematics,
- A 2-year Diploma in Optometry, or
- 2 years of training as an Ophthalmic Assistant at any recognized Government Hospital, as per NPCB (National Programme for Control of Blindness) guidelines.
- OR
- Candidates must have passed I.Sc. (Biology or Mathematics) or 10+2 with Biology or Mathematics,
and hold a 2-year Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant from a Government, Private, or Semi-Government institute recognized by the Government of Bihar.
